Why LEC?

Traditional education techniques are based on the idea that learning challenges cannot be overcome. If a student can’t read, for example, you read to him or her.

At Learning Enhancement Centers, we believe that with the right training, the brain can overcome any learning challenge.

All of our staff members are trained in our techniques, which help students of all ages overcome a myriad of challenges that include dyslexia, ADD and auditory disorders.

Our approach, however, is not one-size-fits all: Although all of our programs are based on the same philosophy, they’re adjusted to the individual struggles of each student.

Academic and social success depends upon a strong base of cognitive processing, or learning skills. These include skills such as:

  • Memory
  • Attention
  • Processing Speed
  • Auditory processing, language, and communication
  • Phonemic awareness
  • Visual processing
  • Logic and reasoning
  • Internal timing and organization
  • Motor coordination and sensory integration

Weaknesses or inconsistencies in one or more of these areas can cause difficulties with efficient learning.
